- I was adopted when I was around 2 years old. I love the family I have now very much and I do not know what I would do without them - but recently I have been wondering more and more about my birth parents. I have spoken to my mum about my adoption but she will not tell me anything as of yet. This means - she does not know I have used this website - and I would just like to know who I came from - my background and maybe - if we got along to meet up sometime etc. I do not know if my birth parents are on this website - but I thought I may as well give it a go. I hope one day I finally get to know more about where I am from. I also know that my birth parents - be it mother or father - have to agree for contact - and I just really hope they do. It upsets me sometimes when my friends have pictures of their birth and of things from when they were very little - and I only have the odd picture from when I was born - and then pictures since I was adopted.
