Father Harry was a football referee and instigated Lollypop man for school crossings. Jim served with the Royal Scots in Hong Kong and was captured by the Japanese. He was on teh Lisbon Marew ship and wrote a poem about his life at that time. He returned from the war but disappeared his brothers tried in vain to contact him and now I (his niece) am trying to find him. He saised on the Lisbonmarew and laterly was a prison of war in Japan. He survived and returned home I believe he worked somewhere in Edinburgh around the Comely Bank area. Jim was one of 5 brothers namely John - Alex - William (Bill) - David and Robert (Bob) and one sister Isabella (Bella).
