In the first quarter of 1952, my mother had a baby boy, she was unmarried, and, of course it was not appropriate to keep him, so he was put up for adoption.

His name was Robert S**, he was born around February/March 1952, in Birmingham. My mother was Ada S**, at the time, she married my dad in the September of that year. The baby’s father was unknown.

I would so love to find him, my mother is suffering from Alzhiema’s and is deteriorating every day, and has, probably, long forgotten about Robert, I have not. I would love to find him, and tell him about the mother he never knew, explain why she had him adopted, and introduce him to his other brothers and sisters.

Families are so important, I have lost two relatives, within five months of each other, and it is so sad when that happens.

Finding Robert would be a dream come true.

What I need to know is if you have copies of adoption papers relating to Robert, or information as to where he was born, which agency dealt with things after he was born, Mum had to take him somewhere, where did she take him.

Any help you could give will be appreciated.

Thank you for your time
