- I am looking for my father, I only know he was Jamaican and in the British Army around 1973, he was with my mum (Maureen) who's father was also in the army but refused to have my father as part of the family because of his colour. I am not sure what happened to him. Having spent years wondering if I should find him and more so after having been to Jamaica on holiday and my adopted dad dying last week, I feel it is now that I need to find him. My adopted dad (John) always said he would help me find him but I seemed to find a reason not too. Any help would be great, I realise I have not given much information but I can if you require.
