- I am looking for my birth mother, Janet, who was living in Hong Kong when she found out she was pregnant with me (as was my father). She came back to the UK (Middle Herrington) to live with her Aunt until she had me by c-section in Easington, County Durham.
I would like her to know that her incredibly difficult decision (as I know that it was not really her decision) was of nothing but benefit to me. I have been blessed with the most wonderful parents and have had a really happy and rich life. I now have 3 children of my own, so can only imagine how hard it was for her at the young age of 16.
I am open to contact with Janet but am mindful of the fact that she will undoubtedly have a family to consider, as have I, and would not wish to cause any upset or distress to anyone. I just want her to know that I admire the decision that she made and that I have no bad feeling about her in any way at all.
